The Olive Branch Community Garden (OBCG) sits at the heart of the Dogsthorpe and Welland area in Peterborough. There are three poly tunnels within a large growing space, a large lawn area, BBQ area, a lodge (with cooking facilities), a shed to make a cuppa and a pond and much more.
The OBCG has 5 basic aims:
- Provide community spaces for social interaction to enhance health and wellbeing
- Provide access to natural environments that created opportunities to increase biodiversity
- Inspire and educate on growing food organically across Peterborough
- Create an outdoor learning space for people in Peterborough
- Reduce local food poverty and commercial waste across Peterborough
